Site Updates

In this blog post, I want to go over why I made some minor redesigns to my website and provide an update on my progress in learning to code. The first version of this website was made when I was at the beginning of my course and while I liked it a lot I felt it had some failings. Mainly in how the project cards were designed, the new ones can fit much more information on them and I like the flash card look to them. Overall the site hasn’t had many changes color changes here and there, bigger hero image that’s about it. For my blog index and posts I borrowed my flash card design and it, in my opinion, looks much better than the previous design.

Learning to Code Progress

Currently, I’m knee-deep in learning ASP.NET/C#/MVC web development! The only issue is I don’t have any projects I’ve made hosted anywhere and my biggest projects are still a few good weeks or maybe months from completion. That said I’m still working my way through the Coder Foundry “Complete .Net Development Coding Bootcamp” I mostly finished the emailer app, and am currently building on my own simple house inventory tracker. After that, I want to dive into the Bug Tracker project.

In the meantime, I’ve been helping out other newbies where I can to test my knowledge and built this website. Here’s to more productivity for the rest of 2023 and hopefully a job!
